| The Pickering Concert Band was formed in the fall of 1989 to provide the community with musical services at all levels and as an outlet for citizens who wish to participate in band music. We have received tremendous support from the City of Pickering, the Pickering Women's Progress Club, the East Shore Community Centre and the South Pickering Seniors Club. There are currently no fees or auditions.
Rehearsals are every Tuesday night from 7:30 to 9:30 at the East Shore Community Centre located on Liverpool Road in Pickering. Our season runs from September to Canada Day and sometimes later.
Band members include a wide variety of people, high school students, music teachers, accountants, telephone installers and nuclear reactor operators. Every level of musician is welcome to come and join us. So dust off that old instrument case and come out some Tuesday night!
