Giancarlo Binetti conductor based in the Greater Toronto Area. He holds a BFA in Classical Performance as well as a M.A. in musicology at York University, focusing on the study of wind band conducting, the role of the artistic director, and concert band administration in Ontario. Giancarlo has been involved professionally with many community bands across the GTA, including the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra, Rouge River Winds, and the Oakville Symphony Youth Orchestra. Giancarlo is an ambitious, passionate conductor with the aim of helping groups to reach beyond their foreseen potential, all the while enjoying every step of the process. Giancarlo looks forward to working with the wonderful, fun-loving Pickering Community Concert Band and organizing some exciting performances for this season.
